I was beyond honored to be invited to do a TEDx talk at my alma mater, the University of South Florida. It was an incredible experience and I am so, SO excited to share my thoughts with you. I hope you will watch and be inspired to look at (and talk about) Sex Ed just a little bit differently.

“If Sexuality Education were relatable, accessible, comprehensive, and collaborative rather than ineffective, awkward, embarrassing, and avoided, we could reduce rates of sexual victimization and create healthier communities for generations to come. In this Talk, Dr. Sheridan uses her 20 years of experience helping people to challenge their assumptions about sexuality (and themselves!) to challenge the audience to explore and communicate openly about the topic of human sexuality through a hopeful and positive lens.
Dae C. Sheridan, Ph.D. is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Board Certified Clinical Sexologist and Professor of Human Sexuality at the University of South Florida. An advocate and activist for quality mental health services and sexuality education for all, Dr. Dae regularly presents her research and participates as a featured expert for various professional organizations and media outlets nationwide. The top two reasons for divorce in the U.S. are money and sex…and she’s no accountant.”
